A 26-year-old intern was killed when the lion she was tending attacked her at an exotic-cat sanctuary in California. Before authorities got there, employees attempted to distract the lion, but the woman died on the scene after a sheriff’s deputy arrived and killed the 350-pound feline, Cous Cous. “They are wild animals, end of story,” animal expert Jack Hanna said. “No matter what anyone says, they are wild animals.”
