A black loaded handgun was found on top of a superhero toy box at a Target store in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, police said. Police are investigating how the gun got there, but an employee says he saw a man repeatedly walking around that section of the store. The 9-mm gun has not been reported stolen and had eight bullets inside. Officers are now reviewing security camera footage. The discovery comes as retailers are facing pressure from groups to ban customers from carrying guns into stores. On Wednesday, before news of the handgun broke, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America launched a petition asking Target to prevent customers’ firearms from coming into the store.
