The Los Angeles Kings won their second Stanley Cup in three years on Friday night, triumphing over the New York Rangers in a nerve-wracking double-overtime playoff game. The Kings won 3-2, denying the Rangers what would have been their first championship in 20 years. Interestingly, it was bad omens from the beginning for Ranger Henrik Lundqvist, who was playing in his 666th game for the team on a full-mooned Friday the 13th. “You try not to get frustrated knowing how close we were,” Lundqvist said after the game.
