Rumors of a Rachel Maddow senate campaign in Massachusetts were, apparently, a paranoid delusion of Scott Brown. Brown’s staff sent a fundraising email on Tuesday warning his supporters that liberals were trying to recruit Maddow to challenge him. Maddow, however, laughed it off on Tuesday night’s program. Maddow said the claim was “completely made up” and wondered, "Why didn't they just call and ask me if it was true before sending out the fundraising letter?"
