Men and women aren’t so different—when it comes to models, anyway. In a New York Times article American male model du jour A.J. Abualrub admitted to having dropped “about 30 pounds” off his naturally 200-pound frame in order to become a model. “I only eat, like, maybe twice a day,” Abualrub said from backstage at the Roberto Cavalli show at fashion week in Milan. He may not be “weighing” in (pun intended) on the size 0 debate taking place among the fashion community of late, but least the playing field has been leveled a bit.
