We hope he enjoyed it: A male model was fired from the set of a photo shoot for sexy mall retailer Abercrombie & Fitch because he ate a croissant. Like the other models on the shoot, Florian Van Bael, a native of Belgium, was being closely watched by agents monitoring his eating, drinking, and exercise habits. Van Bael apparently ate the snack at an inappropriate moment during the week-long shoot with 30 male and female models in Montauk, New York. The male models were working 13 hours a day and being paid $1,500 for seven days of work, plus a $13-a-day meal stipend that was, apparently, subject to strict scrutiny.
