A man died Tuesday and a police officer has been hospitalized after they plunged into Niagara Falls during a police chase. According to Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, the police officer was chasing the man around 5:30 p.m. when they both went over a retaining wall and into the falls. Rescuers lowered a bucket into the falls, saving the police officer. The body of the suspect was found just before 9 p.m.
