McChrystal Profile Wins Polk Award

Rolling Stone article led to his resignation.

May this month’s Justin Bieber profile be as lucky: Rolling Stone has won the Polk Award for magazine reporting for “The Runaway General,” Michael Hasting’s profile of Stanley McChrystal which led to the general’s resignation. Dexter Filkins and Mark Mazzetti won the military reporting award for The New York Times, and two more Times correspondents won the foreign reporting award for their work on Russia. The national reporting award went to Dana Priest and William M. Arkin of The Washington Post for their two-year investigative report on America’s security infrastructure.
