Amid growing backlash over meager pay at McDonald’s outlets, the company is reporting global sales figures rose just 0.7 percent in July. Sales in the U.S. increased 1.6 percent. Meanwhile sales fell 1.9 percent in Europe, as well as in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. McDonald’s has faced challenging headwinds over changing consumer tastes, as more people want healthier fresh food.
