Melissa McCarthy, the popular comedic actress from Bridesmaids, The Heat, and Mike & Molly, says that two years ago, when she was nominated for an Oscar, “I asked five or six designers—very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people—and they all said no.” McCarthy disclosed the snub in an interview about why she is launching her own clothing line, also admitting that when she is shopping, she rarely finds a dress she likes.
