The New York Mets are signing Tim Tebow to a minor-league contract, the team announced Thursday morning on Twitter. Last month, the former National Football League quarterback announced that he was pursuing a professional baseball career and that he had been training for a year. He held a workout for several Major League Baseball teams this summer. Tebow was an All-State baseball player in Florida in 2005.
