More than five weeks after Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, yanked journalist Michelle Fields away from his candidate—a primary night encounter March 8 that lasted seconds as Fields was trying to interview the Republican frontrunner at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida—the story refuses to die.

On Sunday’s Reliable Sources, the CNN media analysis program—whose host, Brian Stelter called Fields “a household name”—the former Breitbart News reporter opened up a new front in her quest for an apology from the Trump campaign and her war against the Palm Beach County prosecutor who refused to indict Lewandowski on a charge of misdemeanor battery.

Fields suggested that Palm Beach County District Attorney Dave Aronberg’s decision not to prosecute Lewandowski after police charged and arrested him was unethical and motivated by personal concerns.

This is because Aronberg and his wife, Lynn, a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader who owns a public relations firm, have been frequent visitors to Trump’s private club, Mar-a-Lago, and that Lynn Aronberg has posted numerous photos of herself posing with Donald and Melania Trump on her Facebook page and company website.

“If my wife was trying to monetize her relationship with Donald Trump,” Fields told Stelter, “I would recuse myself from the situation and the case.”

Fields added: “The entire situations just seem to me a little sketchy…She’s at Mar-a-Lago…all the time. On her firm’s website…the first picture is her and Donald Trump and her and Melania.”

Fields insisted that, contrary to claims by Trump and Aronberg’s office, she never touched the candidate, who moved his right arm away from her in order to retrieve a pen from his jacket pocket in order to sign autographs as he made his way out of the golf club ballroom.

She also pointed out that Aronberg’s office, far from conducting the thorough investigation that was promised, didn’t even interview the main witness to the grabbing incident, Washington Post reporter Ben Terris.

“I think the prosecutor’s decision…the way they handled this entire situation…was very unprofessional,” Fields said.

An email to Aronberg’s office seeking a response to Fields’s accusation received no immediate response.

During her CNN appearance Fields repeatedly called Trump and his campaign manager “liars” who attempted to defame her.

“I don’t think this should have been such a huge story,” Fields said, adding that it wouldn’t have been, and probably remained private, if only Lewandowski had offered her an apology. “This wouldn’t have been such a huge story. But Corey lied. Donald Trump lied. They defamed me, and went on this huge smear campaign against me. It sheds light on the character of the campaign.”
