Microsoft filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government Wednesday for the ability to inform customers whenever federal agents are looking through their emails. The company argues that by preventing Microsoft from notifying customers about requests for private documents, the government is encroaching on the Fourth Amendment, which grants citizens the right to know if their property has been searched or seized.
