A central air force base in Pakistan was attacked by what the military is calling a group “terrorists,” possibly the Taliban. Eight attackers and one security official were killed in the two-hour gunfight at the Minhas base in Kamra. The base is located 25 miles northwest of Islamabad, and is suspected to hold some of the nation's nuclear material. Pakistan was rumored to be on the verge of launching a campaign in the militant hub of North Wziristan.
