The murder trial of California teen Larry King has ended in a deadlock. The 15-year-old King was shot in the back of the head by fellow student Brandon McInerney during class in 2008. The prosecution argued for a murder charge, saying McInerney embraced a white supremacist and homophobic philosophy and fully intended to kill his classmate. The defense argued that McInerney lashed out at King after King made sexual advances, and that McInerney should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Seven jurors supported the manslaughter charge, while five supported murder. Prosecutors now have to decide whether to re-file murder charges.
