Former Massachusetts Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was treated for prostate cancer this summer, NBC News confirmed Monday. Romney reportedly received surgical treatment from a doctor at UC Irvine Hospital in California. “His prognosis is good; he was successfully treated,” a source close to Romney told CNN’s Jake Tapper. Romney is rumored to be considering a run for Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch’s seat when the long-time senator exits the Utah seat at the end of 2018.
