More money, more problems. The Mitt Romney super PAC Restore Our Future spent $14 million on ads in a three-state blitz in January, according to campaign reports. Most of the money was for attack ads on other opponents. Though Romney had a shaky January—losing South Carolina to Newt Gingrich—the super PAC has raised $7 million in the first month of the year, bringing its funds to more than $16 million at the start of February. Most of the money came from 25 people making donations between $100,000 and $500,000. But will it be enough to pound the Santorum surge in the coming Super Tuesday? Well, as of now, he’s still lagging behind Rick in Michigan.
