Natalie Russell, the mother of 1-year-old Adalynn Russell, was arrested for murder in Phoenix, Arizona after her child ingested methadone. Russell told police that the bottle may have spilled and that her daughter consumed some of it. She later said her daughter consumed it from the container itself. Russell went to sleep and did not get medical assistance for her daughter. She had reportedly looked up methadone overdose on the Internet and tried to counteract it by giving her daughter methamphetamines.
