More EX-Players Sue NFL

More than 100 former professional football players are suing the NFL, joining upward of 1,500 other players accusing the league of intentionally hiding the brain-injury risks of concussions. The latest suit, which was filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Atlanta, also claims the organization has failed to take precautios to protect its players. The NFL has countered that the idea that the organization “sought to mislead players has no merit.” The suit also cites recent studies that have found links between concussions and symptoms of memory loss and mood swings, which carries particular weight in light of NFL star Junior Seau’s sudden suicide, as some have speculated that previous concussions could have affected his mental state.
