Most Against Palin Presidential Run

Polls

41 percent hold unfavorable view.

Despite recently landing a lucrative gig on Fox News, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin still isn't a popular option for the 2012 elections, a CBS News poll found. According to the poll, 71 percent of Americans would not like to see the ex-Alaska governor run for President, and 41 percent view her negatively. Palin has slightly better support among Republicans, 56 percent of whom do not want to see her run and 43 percent of whom have a favorable opinion of her, but even among her base—self-described conservatives—she has trouble finding support: 58 percent say she shouldn't run.
