Mubarak Supporters Torch Museum: Report

Egypt’s national museum—the home to the greatest treasures from ancient Egypt—is reportedly on fire. It’s unclear who exactly is responsible for the fire, although Reuters reports that pro-Mubarak protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the museum. The area around the museum was the site of a big clash between pro- and anti-government protesters, with reports of firebombs, tear gas, and gunfire. Government supporters reportedly lined up on rooftops and rained bombs, gas, and stones on the protesters below.
