Mesa police officers in Arizona are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy and his mother at Banner Cardon Children's Hospital. During a routine check on Saturday night, hospital staff found the boy and his mother dead in the room. Initial reports suggest that it was a murder-suicide. The mother was found dead of a gunshot wound but police are not clarifying what injuries the child sustained.
