BBC journalist Rupert Wingfield-Hayes was detained, interrogated, and ordered expelled from North Korea over his reporting. Wingfield-Hayes, producer Maria Byrne, and cameraman Matthew Goddard were stopped by officials Friday as they were about to leave the country. All three were held over the weekend and Wingfield-Hayes was questioned for eight hours. He was also forced to sign a statement, according to the BBC. The three have been reportedly taken to the airport. The BBC team traveled to North Korea ahead of the Workers Party Congress along with a delegation of Nobel Prize laureates on a research trip.
