After losing to Robin Soderling in last year’s fourth round, Rafael Nadal has restored order to his clay court dominion. This morning, the 24-year-old Spaniard defeated Soderling 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 in the final at Roland Garros, clinching his fifth French Open title and his seventh Grand Slam. After he won, he fell to the red clay before returning to his chair and bawling into his towel. With this victory, Nadal regains his #1 ranking, unseating Roger Federer.
