Hope Dior wasn’t planning on having her model a maternity line: Natalie Portman, who has an endorsement contract with the fashion house, has condemned its chief designer John Galliano after video surfaced of him saying “I love Hitler” and Jews should have been “gassed.” In a statement, Portman said, “I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way.” Portman was expected to wear a Dior gown at Sunday’s Oscar but wore a Rodarte dress instead. Dior suspended Galliano after police reports of an anti-Semitic incident in a bar last week, but it has not responded to the latest video.
