NATO’s air campaign against Libya will end on Oct. 31, the alliance announced Friday. The air raids started on March 19 with the intent to stop former dictator Muammar Gaddafi’s brutal crackdown on protesters and to suppress his missile and radar networks. The last 10 days of the patrol will be mainly a cautionary measure, Fogh Rasmussen said.
