For at least two years, the admiral in charge of Navy intelligence have been cut off from military secrets. Vice Adm. Ted "Twig" Branch is barred from classified information of any kind, and he has been since Nov. 2013, when his name emerged in connection to a corruption investigation. Leadership reportedly suspended his access, as well as the access of Rear Adm. Bruce F. Loveless, the director of intelligence operations for the Navy. Neither of them have been charged nor cleared, and Branch remains in his post despite the decision's hindrance to his job.
