It's all on you, baseball. The National Basketball Association is bracing for a lengthy shutdown after negotiations between players and owners over how to split the league's $4.3 billion annual revenue collapsed. The lockout could threaten the 2011-2012 season. NBA Commissioner David Stern said the players' final offer Thursday would have increased the average salary to $7 million from $5 million and prevented teams from becoming profitable. NBA owners say the league suffered $300 million in losses last year as 22 of its 30 teams operated in the red.
