The man arrested by Russian police and charged with the murder of Kremlin critic Boris Nemtsov has retracted his confession, saying he was put under duress and is not guilty. Zaur Dadayev told two members of a human-rights council that he was tortured and his family was threatened after he was detained. Russia’s Investigative Committee said in response that both members violated the law by visiting Dadayev in prison and questioning him.
