Netflix knows you are addicted, so they have a special deal for you. The streaming-video service is testing a $6.99-per month subscription with access to lower-quality video. The plan will only allow users a single stream (one device at a time) and it will only be in standard-definition video. Earlier this year, Netflix introduced a “family plan” for $11.99-per month, which lets subscribers watch up to four programs at the same time. Wall Street analysts have suggested that Netflix could withstand a price increase (we all love us some Orange Is the New Black), although it seems the company wants to take things in the opposite direction. Time to start planning that House of Cards viewing party.
