The Nevada caucus kicked off Saturday with several locations caucusing as early as 10 a.m. Mitt Romney took the first precinct at Green Valley High School in Clark County with 14 votes, while Ron Paul came in second with 7, Newt Gingrich had 5, and Rick Santorum 2. Caucusgoers there reported very few problems, and said there was little debating—and although there were only 45 participants, a large number of Mormon voters came to support Romney. Romney is expected to win big in Nevada, where he won with 51 percent of the vote in 2008 and a quarter of the voters are Mormons. Although Paul is polling in fourth place, the Texas Congressman has been making a strong bid for second place, and he spent Saturday signing autographs in a Las Vegas gun store.
