New Details in Bin Laden Killing Emerge

There are now not one, not two, but three different accounts from SEAL Team 6 members about the night Osama bin Laden was killed. Despite last month’s Esquire cover story, where an anonymous SEAL claimed to have come face-to-face with the terrorist leader and shot him in the forehead after he appeared to reach for a gun, a new SEAL has come forward and called the Esquire account “complete b.s.” Instead, the third SEAL backs up the account told by “Mark Owens” in his book No Easy Day: another SEAL, dubbed “the point man,” is the one who fired the fatal shot. “The people pushing what they say is the real account is the one that isn’t that heroic, where bin Laden is sort of finished off on the floor, a lucky shot, as opposed to a man-to-man,” said CNN national-security analyst Peter Bergen, who spoke to the SEAL.
