Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, the new Footloose has ushered in a wave of '80s nostalgia and topped Friday's box office with an estimated $5.6 million. Starring Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough from Dancing With the Stars, the movie is expected to finish the weekend at No. 1 with an estimated $17 million. A predominantly female audience (60 percent) bought tickets to the remake of the 1984 classic, and roughly 61 percent of people were over the age of 25. DreamWorks' Real Steel came in at second place on Friday with roughly $4.5 million. Despite its stellar comedian cast (Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson), this week's The Big Year grossed only $1.2 million on Friday.
