Newt Gingrich is not happy. The pro-Romney super PAC Restore Our Future has a new ad out that it's planning to run in several states which accuses Newt Gingrich of supporting China's one-child policy. Gingrich's lawyer has sent a letter to every television station in upcoming primary states, insisting that the allegations in the ad are "fundamentally NOT TRUE" and arguing that if the ad is aired "it will be a knowing publication of a false statement. As such, it represents defamatory communication, which exposes this station to potential civil liability." Politifact has deemed the ad a "pants on fire" lie.
