Next they'll have to try hoverboards. Nike is creating a limited-edition shoe based on the glowing sneakers worn in Back to the Future II. Unfortunately, unlike the movie's shoe, the sneakers won't lace themselves. Sales of the 1,500 pairs will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research. Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield, who helped design the original shoe, is working on the new model. "This is the biggest thing that has happened to sneakers since Michael Jordan, hands down," said Matt Halfhill, who runs the shoe-collector website nicekicks.com.
