Nike finally fulfilled its longstanding promise to create self-tying shoes, unveiling a futuristic sneaker Wednesday at a media event in New York. The brand’s first-ever self-tying sneaker features a sensor inside the shoe and two buttons on the side that adjust the fit. The Oregon-based company has been talking about releasing the Back to the Future II-inspired shoe for more than two years. The self-lacing shoes are expected to hit the market around the holiday season and will only be available to members of its loyalty Nike+ app.
