In the budget set to be proposed next week by President Obama, NASA will be given $5.9 billion over the course of the next five years, the majority of which will be used to keep the International Space Station running until 2020. The budget effectively ends the return-to-the-moon plan created by George W. Bush, which has already cost $9.1 billion, according to officials.
