No Servants for William and Kate

Are the rest of us taking something for granted? England’s Prince William and fiancée Kate Middleton will live for the foreseeable future without butlers, servants, and other such household staff, according to royal sources. At least until William finishes his three-year tour of duty with the Royal Air Force, the two will continue living in their weekend cottage off the coast of Wales as they do today, doing their own cooking, cleaning, shopping, and serving—though they do have around-the-clock bodyguards protecting their home. “Prince William is not into extravagance and, like any other young officer in the armed forces, that is how he chooses to live his life,” said one royal source.
