Nobel Prize in Chemistry Awarded for Method to Visualize Biomolecules

Three men have won the 2017 Nobel Prize in chemistry for developing a technique—called cryo-electron microscopy—that produces high-resolution images of the structure of biomolecules. Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank, and Richard Henderson will split the $1.1 million prize, which was announced Wednesday. All the prizes have been won by male scientists this year.
