Experts at 38 North, an institute at John Hopkins University dedicated to studying North Korea, say the country’s new pesticide factory is capable of producing “military-size batches of biological weapons,” including anthrax. This comes after North Korea’s state-run media agency released photos of Kim Jong Un touring a pesticide factory. An analysis of the pictures is said to reveal the factory is capable of mass-producing biological weapons. While the photos do not indicate whether North Korea has yet made anthrax, researchers at 38 North say they believe the country can easily and secretly reset the pesticide equipment to make biological weapons within days.
