NV Sen. Blames Campaign for Attack Ads

Wasn't Me

Insists he's not responsible.

Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada claims no responsibility for the negative ads his campaign has been running against his Democratic opponent, Shelley Berkley. One ad, for example, points out a current House Ethics Committee investigation into allegations that Berkley used her job to financially help her husband. Yet Heller insists, "I haven't made any comments on it. It's one of those things that I let the Ethics Committee do its job and I'll do my job." Ok, then what about the ad he's running? "Campaign is," Heller countered, when questioned by The Hill. "If you have any questions or comments, it'd probably be better if you directed those questions towards the campaign. Just talk to the campaign—they're the ones dealing specifically with this issue. Right now, I'm just worried about jobs and the economy."
