New York City will host a ticker-tape parade for the U.S. women’s national soccer team on Friday in honor of their World Cup championship. The ladies beat Japan’s national team 5-2 on Sunday in the most-watched soccer match in U.S. history. The parade will kick off Friday at 11 a.m. in Lower Manhattan. It will mark the first time a women’s sports team has received the honor.
