The never-ending saga of the Amanda Bynes’s trainwreck came to a halt when the NYPD said Sunday that there was no evidence to support her allegations of sexual assault by a police officer. “To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that no one touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in any misconduct at any time.” Bynes had claimed an NYPD officer “slapped my vagina” when she was arrested last week for allegedly throwing a bong out the window in New York City. Bynes stood by her story via Twitter on Sunday, writing that she is suing the NYPD and “I’m free forever! You can’t lock up an innocent person! Thanks for caring!” She also denied she had written mean tweets about Rihanna, writing that “someone is always mocking up fake tweets.”
