NYPD on Harvey Weinstein: ‘We Have an Actual Case Here’

The New York Police Department announced on Friday that it is investigating allegations against Harvey Weinstein based on an incident that happened seven years ago. “We have an actual case here. We are happy with where the investigation is right now. Right now we’re gathering our evidence,” officials said during an afternoon press conference. After a survivor came to authorities with a detailed account of the alleged crime, police were able to at least partially corroborate it and are continuing to gather evidence until they can produce an arrest warrant. No charges have been filed.
