Barack Obama is “the greatest enemy of press freedom that we have encountered in at least a generation,” said New York Times reporter James Risen at an event Friday in New York City. Risen is currently fighting an order to testify at the trial of a former CIA agent, Jeffrey Sterling, who is accused of leaking information to him. He denounced the Obama administration for “narrow[ing] the field of national security reporting” and said any journalist who crosses his boundaries “will be punished.”
