Well, it’s safe to say it wasn’t the most important interview in history: President Obama sat down for a mostly congenial, far-ranging chat with Bill O’Reilly before the Super Bowl. Particularly notable: The president told the Fox News host that no one is quite sure how the transfer of power in Egypt will happen, but the country is “not going back to the way it was.” Obama said he wanted an “orderly” but “meaningful” transition, but that the U.S. cannot dictate events in the country. O’Reilly asked Obama if he was prepared for the possibility that the Supreme Court could throw out his landmark health-care reform law enacting last year. “I don’t want to spend the next two years re-fighting the battles of the last two years,” Obama replied. He said he thought the federal judge in Florida who overturned the law was wrong, and told O’Reilly to remember that 12 other judges had thrown out legal challenges to the health-care law.
