Michael Leiter exits on bin Laden high note.

Michael Leiter, the U.S. counterterrorism chief, is resigning after nearly five years at his post. The head of the National Counterterrorism Center began serving under the administration of George W. Bush in 2007 and was retained by Pres. Obama. A source said Leiter wants to exit on a high note now that Osama bin Laden has been killed, completing one of the nation’s most important counterterrorism goals.
