Obama Defends Dismal Jobs Report

On the same day as a disappointing jobs report showed a slowdown in the nation’s economic recovery, President Obama defended his policies at a Chrysler plant in Ohio. “There are always going to be bumps on the road to recovery. We’re going to pass through some tough terrain,” he told a crowd of auto workers, obviously referencing the report but not citing it specifically. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney, the Republican field’s 2012 frontrunner, kept up his line of attack in New Hampshire, saying Obama has failed to “address the tough challenges we face.”
