Stories about incriminating photos on Facebook abound, but really, you would think that senior-level staff in the Obama administration would know better. Obama’s incoming director of speechwriting, Jon Favreau, was flagged on the website pawing at a cardboard cutout of Hillary Clinton while a friend kisses her cheek and holds a beer to her lips. Washington Post writer Al Kamen points out that Obama’s famously rigorous vetting process should have turned up the photo. Favreau declined to comment, but a transition aide, in an unfortunate turn of phrase, says he “reached out to Senator Clinton to offer an apology.”
