California graffiti artist Shepard Fairey, who created the iconic Obama “Hope” poster, has been arrested and charged with a felony after allegedly vandalizing property in Detroit. Fairey is charged with malicious destruction of property after allegedly vandalizing 14 different buildings and walls, causing damages over $1,000 and less than $20,000. He was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after returning from Europe.
